How do I upload data?
Go to the Workspace, click or drag a CSV or Excel file (.csv, .xlsx, .xls) onto the Upload Data zone. We auto-detect columns and show a 5-row preview.
What report types are available?
Six templates: General, Business, Research, Executive, Technical, and Marketing. Each builds a different dashboard layout — Executive focuses on KPI summaries, Technical adds detailed charts, Marketing emphasizes distribution.
How do I export a PDF?
Generate your dashboard, then click Export PDF in the canvas header. Charts are captured as images for a complete export. Free tier includes a compliance watermark; Pro lets you customize or remove it.
Is my data sent to your servers?
No. ReportGen AI processes CSV data locally in your browser. Your files, dashboards, and API keys stay on your device unless you opt into future cloud features.
Do I need a subscription?
No BI tools and no forced plan. Use Free forever with watermarked PDFs. Pay ₹199 on demand for one clean export. Choose Pro monthly or yearly only if you want unlimited clean PDFs.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free (₹0): Full dashboards, charts, filters, PDF with watermark, AI Insights — no BI tools.
Pay per PDF (₹199): One clean export for your current layout; change settings and pay again.
Pro (₹4,099/mo or ₹39,999/yr): Unlimited clean PDFs, custom watermark, priority support — optional.
What are AI Insights on the dashboard?
Every Smart Dashboard includes an AI Insights panel: a plain-language summary of your spreadsheet, key findings (outliers, concentration, sample size), and a prioritized “what needs to improve” checklist. It runs in your browser — no API key required. PDF exports include the same insights.
Is AI Narrative available?
AI Narrative (BYOK OpenAI/Groq reports) is temporarily paused and will return in a later update. Smart Dashboard and AI Insights work without any API key today.
Can I customize charts and KPIs?
Yes. Use + Add Chart, + KPI Card, or + Add Filter in the toolbar. Drag widgets with the ⠿ handle, change chart types via ⋮ menu, and customize colors per widget.
How do I upgrade, cancel, or switch plans?
Free → Pro: Open Workspace → Upgrade → choose Monthly or Yearly → Pay with Razorpay. Pro activates instantly after payment.
One PDF: Export PDF → confirm customizations → Pay ₹199.
Cancel: Email contact@reportgenai.tech. You keep Pro until the expiry date shown in the app, then return to Free.
I have a subscription or billing issue — what should I do?
Email contact@reportgenai.tech with your account email and Razorpay payment ID (if any). We typically resolve within 24 hours.
Is there a launch discount for Pro?
Yes. Enter coupon LAUNCH30 at Razorpay checkout for 30% off monthly or yearly Pro.
How do I convert Excel to a KPI dashboard?
Upload your .xlsx or .csv file in the Workspace, choose a report type (Executive, Business, etc.), and click Generate Dashboard. KPI cards and charts are created automatically from your columns.
Is ReportGen AI mobile-friendly?
Yes. Marketing pages and the workspace use responsive layouts for phones and tablets. See our Accessibility Statement for WCAG commitment details.
Where can I read legal policies (Privacy, Terms, Cookies)?
